This role is responsible for establishing and administering contracts for goods and services that meet customer expectations regarding quality, quantity, and price in accordance with applicable laws and policies. The officer will coordinate and analyze feedback on contracts, recommend default actions or contract cancellations, and find alternative services. They will serve as a contract administrator or designate one to ensure terms, specifications, and scope are met, acting as a liaison between vendors and users. Additionally, the role involves assisting users in selecting the best procurement methods and documentation requirements, making contract documents available, and determining appropriate goods and services for term contracts. Guidance will be provided to end users on contract-related discrepancies. The officer will follow policies and procedures for the Governor's initiative for SWaM certified small business participation and perform other duties as assigned. Procurement of goods and services will be provided for Districts and Divisions statewide, utilizing competitive negotiation (RFP) and competitive sealed bidding (IFB or RFQ) processes.
