About The Position

re:fab is seeking a Procurement / Materials Sourcing Specialist to act as the critical link between Estimating and Operations. This role is responsible for sourcing, pricing, and procuring materials for construction projects —first during the estimating phase and then through final purchasing once a project is awarded. This is a high-impact role with visibility across estimating and operations. You will help shape procurement processes as re:fab continues to grow, while working within a collaborative, results-driven culture.

Requirements

Experience in procurement, purchasing, estimating support, or material sourcing
Understanding of construction materials and supply chains
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

Partner with the Estimating team to source and price materials during bid and pre-construction phases
Identify multiple material options and suppliers to support competitive and accurate estimates
Provide up-to-date pricing, lead times, and availability to support bid accuracy
Maintain historical pricing data and vendor insights to improve future estimates
Transition materials from estimate to execution once a job is awarded
Solicit quotes, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders with approved vendors
Coordinate with Operations and Project Managers to align deliveries with project schedules
Track material orders and proactively resolve supply issues
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
Identify and onboard new vendors to expand sourcing options
Evaluate vendor performance based on pricing, reliability, and quality
Serve as a primary point of contact between re:fab and material suppliers
