About The Position

While leading the procurement team, you’ll be working alongside key stakeholders to support our plant operations and drive success. Your role will place you at the intersection of various teams including sourcing, planning, production, finance and project management. This will enable you to make a tangible impact on the way we manage products and deliver for our customers. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our procurement process. You’ll not only bring your expertise to solve complex challenges but also spearhead innovative approaches to meet and exceed our business objectives. Your work will influence both the short-term success and long-term strategic goals of the company, making you an essential part of our team.

Requirements

High School graduate with at least 5 years of related experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience with knowledge and understanding of MRP process.
Proven management abilities with experience in procurement and purchasing, with the ability to work across functional boundaries and engage with all levels of management.
Excellent computer skills including MS Office & ERP systems
Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing suppliers, supporting key stakeholders, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain preferred.
Certifications by APICS (CPIM) or ISM (CPSM) are preferred but not required.
Oracle experience preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
Strong analytical skills to identify issues and craft innovative solutions.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Knowledge of production/materials control systems and experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in Oracle ERP
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provide critical support to Production, Project and Sales teams, ensuring supplier deliveries meet material requirements and production schedules.
Collaborate with planning teams to convert material forecasts and customer demand into actionable production and material plans, supporting lean manufacturing principles.
Support business inventory goals, establishing MoQ & safety stock, managing lead times, and adapting to fluctuating market demands.
Coordinate inbound supplier deliveries aligned with customer and project requirements.
Manage material costs through strategic supply chain management.
Meet customer schedules with advanced planning and create agile strategies to expedite shipments as needed.
Own and optimize procurement & MPR processes to ensure material is delivered on schedule, invoiced at the negotiated price and meet the quality standards of the company.
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to resolve material issues and drive continuous improvement.
Lead and mentor a team of salaried and hourly employees, fostering a culture of excellence in procurement.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement progressive management systems based on Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Take ownership of plant-wide materials process improvements, present your team's achievements to senior leadership, and flex beyond your traditional responsibilities to enhance overall shop operations.
