About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials and services to support the operations of the plant. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Working with Group and Regional Procurement in identifying and defining needs and running RFQs. Provide continuous help and instruction relevant to the automated purchasing systems to other departments. Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoices questions and problems. Analyze market trends and provide insights to optimize procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, with preference for advanced degrees or certifications.
  • 4-6 years in procurement/sourcing with two years in leadership roles (preferred).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Effective supplier relationship management and strategic procurement planning.
  • Skilled in procurement software and tools, with extensive experience in SAP.
