About The Position

The Procurement Manager – Indirect Spend is accountable for the strategic management of Maker’s Pride’s indirect spend portfolio, with direct ownership across three core category pillars: Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO); Facilities Management; and Corporate Services. This role leads the full category management lifecycle — from spend analysis and sourcing strategy through supplier relationship management, contract governance, and performance measurement — across manufacturing sites and corporate offices. The Procurement Manager will serve as a trusted business partner to cross-functional stakeholders, bringing market expertise, commercial rigor, and a continuous improvement mindset to reduce total cost of ownership, mitigate supply risk, and elevate service levels across indirect categories. This position reports to the Director of Procurement and plays a key leadership role in building procurement maturity and value delivery across the organization.

  • Track record of delivering measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvements at the category manager level
  • Proficiency in SAP (MM/SRM modules preferred); experience with procurement or ERP platforms required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data modeling, spend analytics)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word; experience with spend analytics or eSourcing platforms (e.g., Coupa, Jaggaer, Ariba) a plus
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools preferred
  • Deep knowledge of indirect procurement best practices, category strategy development, and total cost of ownership analysis across MRO, facilities, and services spend
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to structure complex supplier agreements and drive favorable commercial outcomes
  • Advanced capability to analyze large spend datasets, identify savings opportunities, and translate data into actionable procurement strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to build alignment, navigate competing priorities, and lead without direct authority across cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record managing strategic supplier relationships, including formal SRM programs, business reviews, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Skilled at identifying, assessing, and mitigating supply chain and contract risk within indirect categories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior leadership and articulating procurement value in business terms
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent sourcing projects, stakeholder engagements, and category initiatives with competing deadlines
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing or CPG environments, including regulatory considerations, production schedules, and site-level operational requirements
