Manage the technical services of the protein category including inventory systems, demand planning, pricing compliance and special projects. Plans and coordinates relationships with protein, alternative proteins and breading suppliers for the US Supply Chain including utilizing supply chain systems and software to monitor any potential supply issues. Provides information to cross functional departments, working with the leader of protein procurement to control and supervise supplier issues assessing root causes. Seeks improvement opportunities and associated risks. Provides forecasts to all protein suppliers at a regular cadence to ensure adequate stock in the pipeline and monitors actual volume compared to forecast to make any necessary adjustments. Communicates timely expansion plans and new volume changes to suppliers. Maintains full-cycle supplier relationships including business reviews, maintaining pricing compliance, distribution advantages, redundancy of inventory for proprietary items, and dissolution plans for any surplus. Effectively analyzes, manages, and communicates any cost optimization opportunities. Supports pricing audits of all proteins, alternative proteins, and protein adjacent ingredients to ensure pricing accuracy. Ensures correct specification and pricing documentation for all products and communicate to all internal stakeholders ensuring all are well informed of any changes to the products and supply sources. Manages sourcing, planning, tracking, recording and reporting on product development life cycle to ensure on time launch of new items. Assist in new and ongoing projects as needed and determined by department head.
