About The Position

As Manager, Procurement Business Operations – Cleaning and Clorox Professional, you'll be part of a world-class Procurement organization that provides leadership and operational accountability for leading, collaborating, supporting, and bringing to life the procurement strategies across our brands such as PineSol, 409, Clorox. This business and procurement facing role will drive success factors such as Cost Leadership, Supply Resiliency, Growth through Innovation and Sustainability, and will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end value for the direct materials spend portfolio including packaging components. This role translates strategy into actionable plans, tracks progress, resolves issues in real time, and maintains performance. It proactively identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and deliver cost and performance gains, while ensuring compliance and fostering operational excellence. Partnering closely with Supply Chain and cross-functional teams, the role bridges strategy and execution, aligns priorities, and enables seamless collaboration. It serves as the escalation point for supplier and operational issues, ensuring swift resolution and supply continuity. It also contributes operational insights to support better decision-making and long-term improvement. In addition to your core responsibilities, you'll develop direct relationships and act as a vital liaison between internal and external partners to ensure that the needs and wants of the Business Units are reflected in our procurement category strategies and executed as planned. You'll also play a critical role in addressing short- and medium-term issues related to services and quality performance, leading root cause analysis processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience). Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • 6+ years of Supply Chain experience in a global, matrixed organization, ideally within a fast-paced, dynamic industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sourcing and Procurement, with a focus on Raw Materials, Packaging, and/or External Manufacturing
  • Ability to drive change and breakthrough performance improvement through teamwork.
  • Knowledge/Experience with Project Management and Sourcing / Procurement tools and methodologies, including organizational and negotiations skills.
  • Knowledge/Experience with Sourcing / Procurement tools and methodologies, RFP, Cost Models / Should Cost, Negotiations, Contracts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability to handle numerous competing priorities at the same time.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP; Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration, AI tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and drive procurement strategies across Cleaning and Professional Products Brands to focus on value-driven optimization, supply resiliency, risk management, supplier accountability, and innovation.
  • Act as the voice of procurement in cross-functional teams to align with business strategy and lead value-driving initiatives across the external manufacturing and direct categories.
  • Leverage established procurement expertise to drive value across the spend portfolios, and cultivate strong internal and external networks to support organizational growth and professional development.
  • Manage procurement activities for innovation projects to ensure on-time launches.
  • Lead activities related to managing supplier performance, including onboarding new suppliers, evaluating and monitoring supplier performance across a range of KPIs (Quality, Supply, Cost), and developing action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Business Operational activities include onboarding suppliers, evaluating performance, and driving continuous improvement while addressing broader supply chain risks by mapping supplier dependencies, conducting risk assessments, and analyzing supply chain vulnerabilities to develop action plans.
  • Own the identification and execution of projects to improve value delivery across the spend portfolio. Ensuring resource allocation and monitoring the implementation of projects.
  • Support ongoing supplier governance and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) by leading quarterly business reviews and holding suppliers accountable for KPIs.
  • Develop and own action plans to address short- and long-term challenges related to Services and Quality Performance, ensuring effective business continuity.
  • Lead root cause analysis process to understand continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Act as the bridge between procurement, cross-functional partners, and the business, ensuring the needs and wants of the company are reflected in the category strategies and executed as planned.
  • Support actions are required to address P2P issues, such as payments and invoices.
  • Develop and expand functional and transferable skills using procurement tools and techniques to deliver value, such as negotiation and collaboration activities across the Spend portfolio.
  • Uses AI-enabled procurement tools to improve productivity, accuracy, and execution across supplier communications, RFQs/RFPs preparation, and data analysis.
  • Interprets AI-generated insights to proactively identify risks and exceptions, validating outputs critically and escalating appropriately when results require human judgement or review
  • Applies data literacy and digital workflows skills to reduce manual effort and ensure compliant, responsible use of AI and data in day-to-day procurement execution.
