About The Position

This role is for a Procurement & Logistics Officer interested in the mining sector and working within a multicultural, international organization that encourages learning and skills development. The officer will be responsible for managing the procurement and logistics needs for a mining site, ensuring the availability of essential equipment, spare parts, and supplies, and collaborating with various teams to maintain operational continuity.

Requirements

Good knowledge of procurement and logistics processes, ideally in an industrial or mining environment.
Good understanding of spare parts management and critical procurement.
Ability to monitor orders, lead times, deliveries and supplier commitments.
Knowledge of consultation and tendering processes.
Good understanding of the logistics challenges related to the supply of a mining site.
Proficiency in Excel and procurement monitoring tools.
Organization, rigor, responsiveness and ability to manage priorities.
Good coordination and communication skills with operational teams, suppliers and the Procurement & Supply Chain Department.
Bachelor’s degree / Licence in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Management or a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in procurement and/or logistics, ideally in a mining, industrial or technical environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the management of spare parts, equipment or critical procurement is an asset.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze the needs for equipment, spare parts, consumables and supplies required for the operation of the mining site.
Identify critical needs and ensure their follow-up in order to guarantee the availability of the equipment and spare parts required for operations.
Prepare procurement requests and ensure their follow-up in coordination with the Procurement & Supply Chain Department.
Contribute to the preparation of consultations and tenders, particularly by consolidating the needs and technical specifications communicated by the operational teams.
Ensure the follow-up of orders with suppliers in coordination with the Procurement & Supply Chain Department, particularly regarding delivery lead times, supplier commitments and warranties.
Ensure the follow-up of supplies through to their receipt on site and ensure the conformity of deliveries.
Coordinate the transportation, receipt and delivery of equipment and spare parts to the site.
Ensure the follow-up of critical spare parts, stock levels and replenishment needs.
Maintain procurement monitoring dashboards and raise alerts regarding risks of stock-outs, delays or non-compliance.
Collaborate with the Maintenance, Production, Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure business continuity at the site.
