This internship program is designed to give you real-world experience on active projects, allowing you to see how different teams collaborate to bring complex projects to life, build practical and professional skills, and learn directly from industry professionals. As a Procurement intern, you will be an extension of the Purchasing and Supply Chain team, gaining hands-on experience in vendor relations, order tracking, market analysis, cost optimization, and purchasing operations across active project sites. The program is tailored to your goals, offering opportunities to explore areas of interest such as managing purchase orders, researching strategic supplier options, tracking material deliveries, or evaluating procurement processes to reduce lead times. You will contribute to meaningful projects that make a lasting impact on the company's culture and operations.

Requirements

  • Curious and ready to jump in, with enthusiasm, ability to ask great questions, and excitement to take ownership of supply chain and purchasing tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset focused on efficiency, accuracy, and vendor relationships.
  • Trustworthy and ethical, with high professionalism, and discretion when working with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across project teams and vendor networks.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to assist with cost analysis and delivering tracking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with financial/procurement software (like JDE) or a quick ability to learn new enterprise platforms.
  • Currently enrolled in a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders, invoices, and procurement records.
  • Track deliveries and maintain communication with suppliers to ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Investigate and help resolve billing or order discrepancies.
  • Support market analysis to evaluate potential suppliers, assess industry trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Assist in researching sourcing strategies to optimize material quality, pricing, and delivery schedules for active jobs.
  • Tailor project workload around specific career goals, with opportunities to shadow negotiation strategies, dive into supply chain analytics, assist with vendor relationship management, or evaluate process improvements to streamline purchasing workflows.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
