About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Field Representative to join their Renton Vendor Assistance team in Renton, Washington or Seattle, Washington. This role involves partnering with Senior Leadership on program management and strategic business transformation initiatives to strengthen the company's long-term competitiveness and resilience. The position offers the opportunity to define and lead program and project management best practices, and to drive business planning, decision-making, operations, and business insights within the Renton Vendor Assistance team. The role is primarily second (2nd) shift, with potential for additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a supply chain role managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • 6+ years of experience working with suppliers to develop a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able and willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime)
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in performing aircraft manufacturing operations in one or more of the following domains: Assembly, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Assurance or Flightline environment
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree

Responsibilities

  • Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.
  • Identifies, establishes, and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services, and data to support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and issue resolution (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
  • Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements.
  • Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement of delivery performance.
  • Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.
  • Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improve existing processes, both reporting back to management and making recommendations to procurement agent.
  • Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent.
  • Supports work movement as requested by supervision.
