Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering degree preferred) with 10+ years of related experience, or master’s degree with 8+ years of related experience
  • Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

  • Drive early engagement of procurement and suppliers in product development to meet cross-functional objectives.
  • Close collaboration with engineering, quality, logistics, and supply chain management as a subject matter expert and trusted partner to ensure supplier selection in alignment with global sourcing strategies to achieve technical, cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Contribute to cost optimization in product development by leveraging DfX, cost and value engineering, standardization of components and processes, and total cost of ownership analysis, in close collaboration with R&D and procurement stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key suppliers to support cost-benefit analyses, innovation workshops, and concept development initiatives to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis on technology and pricing trends to identify new suppliers and technologies within the supply chain.
  • Lead the execution and tracking of procurement strategies by incorporating commodity strategies with emerging technology and market trends.
  • Enable execution of line-of-business initiatives by integrating corporate strategies with procurement priorities and enforcing consistent implementation across all activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement sourcing decisions that leverage technical expertise, mitigate risk, and ensure long-term supply continuity.
  • Support business line projects by providing procurement input for quotations, workshops, and BOM assessments to identify and realize cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluate and develop suppliers from a technical perspective, in collaboration with cross-functional partners, to partner with the most innovative and strategic suppliers.
  • Engage in workgroups and projects to maintain visibility, coordinate stakeholders, and drive early-stage influence on key decisions.
