About The Position

Join a mission‑driven team supporting the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the independent U.S. Government agency responsible for protecting bank depositors and maintaining stability in the nation’s financial system. In this role, you will provide mid‑level acquisition compliance support to the FDIC’s Acquisition Services Branch (ASB), helping ensure that critical acquisition activities are documented, accurate, and in full alignment with federal requirements. Your work directly contributes to the FDIC’s ability to keep America’s money insured and uphold public confidence in our financial system. Note: This role is remote but requires the selected candidate to reside within the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in a business‑related field, management, or legal field.
  • At least ten (10) years of direct procurement experience in the federal government and/or private sector.
  • Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience working with GSA Schedules, GWACs, and MA IDIQs.
  • Demonstrated understanding and practical experience with acquisition management principles across the full contract lifecycle (pre‑award through closeout).
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple contract types for supplies and services (e.g., FFP/LOE, T&M, FFP, CPFF, CPIF, CPAF).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, establish processes to avoid issues, and manage administrative workflows on behalf of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in demanding environments and to build productive internal and external working relationships.
  • Proven ability to set a positive example for teamwork, proactively mitigate misunderstandings, expand working relationships, and effectively influence outcomes.
  • Must reside within the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in a business‑related field, management, or legal field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of direct procurement experience in the federal government and/or private sector in contract management with a focus on quality assurance and implementation.
  • Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or similar certification in government procurement practices (e.g., FAC Professional or FAC‑C Level 1 or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Review and report on acquisition documentation within CEFile (Contract Electronic File) in accordance with the QA/IC Program Plan.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in all compliance and documentation activities.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc reports to ASB managers.
  • Process requests for FOIA, audits, and ad‑hoc data calls by pulling only the required documentation from CEFile.
  • Conduct thorough investigative reviews of contract files to identify relevant documents, regardless of how they are labeled or where they are located.
  • Utilize contracting and procurement expertise to accurately determine which materials are applicable to compliance review.
  • Draft clear, professional reports summarizing findings from contract file examinations and provide these reports to leadership to inform oversight and decision‑making.
