About The Position

The Category Manager, Technology joins the Procurement Team to support strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities across categories, including software and services. This role partners with stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives, negotiate favorable commercial terms, support supplier relationships, and drive consistent procurement practices. The Category Manager works independently on moderate to complex engagements while collaborating with senior procurement leaders on larger strategic initiatives. This role reports to the Head of Procurement.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting sourcing projects and contract negotiations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with technology vendors and procurement processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing projects across technology spend categories, including software, SaaS services, and related suppliers.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and support procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Conduct RFx processes, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract renewals.
  • Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market data to identify opportunities for cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain productive supplier relationships and support supplier governance activities.
  • Provide procurement guidance and education to stakeholders regarding policies, processes, and commercial best practices.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance, and other functions to support contract review and third-party risk management activities.
  • Escalate complex commercial, supplier, or stakeholder issues to senior procurement leadership as appropriate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, procurement reporting, and category planning activities.
