About The Position

The Category Lead is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple commodities, in alignment with overall category strategy. This role will serve as the global procurement lead for multiple commodities within manufacturing services. The associate will leverage market data and cost modeling to support the development of negotiation strategies. The position will support contract negotiations for commodities and lead negotiations for responsible commodities. The role will develop efficient channels for capturing effective market intelligence. The individual will develop relationships with suppliers focused on total cost of ownership, advantaged supply chain, innovation, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5 or more years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related Operational function.
• Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Organized, self-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Strategic sourcing experience, industry experience, and international exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across select manufacturing services commodities in alignment with overall category strategy.
• Develop relationships with suppliers focused on total cost of ownership, advantaged supply chain, innovation and continuous process improvement.
• Develop/Nurture internal cross-functional relationships.
• Develop efficient channels for capturing effective market intelligence.
• Actively participate with key stakeholders to execute the category strategy.
• Utilize 7-Step Strategic Sourcing Process and enhanced sourcing tools in day-to-day work.
• Collaborate with peers and leaders within the Category team.
• Informal leadership to Procurement Specialists within the team.
