About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Procurement Associate to support supplier account management, supplier administration, sourcing activities, and supplier negotiations within an aftermarket parts business. The successful candidate will help build and support both short-term and long-term aftermarket procurement strategies. This role will work closely with suppliers, Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Product Management, and Operations to ensure the business has access to high-quality parts, materials, components, and products at competitive pricing and within required timelines. This position is well suited for someone with a Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering background who is analytical, organized, and comfortable working with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Recent graduates with a Supply Chain degree may also be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates with a Supply Chain degree may be considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement, or a related function is preferred, ideally within a large or international organization.
  • Experience or exposure to aftermarket, resale, HVAC, manufacturing, or parts-related business environments is an asset.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct research, review data, and support sourcing recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on supplier and business requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within North America, with possible international travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Three or more years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain within an aftermarket or resale business.
  • Experience supporting supplier negotiations, vendor pricing, supplier optimization, or contract-management activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to support cost-savings initiatives through sourcing, supplier evaluation, and procurement strategy.
  • Strong market-research skills with the ability to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Experience working in HVAC, manufacturing, aftermarket parts, or industrial products.
  • Experience using SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel reporting.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of category strategies for aftermarket parts.
  • Align sourcing and procurement activities with business objectives, customer needs, and supply chain priorities.
  • Conduct market research to identify supplier capabilities, industry trends, cost-saving opportunities, and potential supply risks.
  • Analyze aftermarket HVAC industry trends and supplier market conditions to support sourcing decisions.
  • Assist in identifying new opportunities to improve supplier coverage, pricing, delivery, and overall procurement performance.
  • Support supplier identification, evaluation, selection, onboarding, and localization activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and regional vendors.
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of parts, materials, components, and products.
  • Assist in supplier administration, supplier account support, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
  • Work with assigned aftermarket vendors to resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, documentation, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier capabilities align with business requirements.
  • Support supplier negotiations related to pricing, terms, conditions, and service expectations.
  • Assist with pricing management for regional vendors to protect business interests and support cost-control objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams during sourcing discussions and vendor negotiations.
  • Help ensure supplier agreements promote mutually beneficial partnerships while supporting business and procurement goals.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and pricing documentation.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives across the aftermarket parts category.
  • Monitor supplier pricing, market changes, and category trends to identify savings opportunities.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and cost competitiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, supplier performance, and cost control.
  • Help identify opportunities to reduce procurement risk without compromising product quality or service levels.
  • Work closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Operations, and Product Management teams.
  • Gather business requirements and ensure procurement activities are aligned with internal stakeholder needs.
  • Communicate supplier updates, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional sourcing activities and help drive alignment between procurement strategy and business priorities.
  • Participate in meetings, reporting, and presentations related to supplier performance, sourcing activities, and category strategy.
  • Support the development and tracking of supplier key performance indicators.
  • Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, cost, responsiveness, and service.
  • Assist in identifying supplier performance issues and support corrective-action discussions.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to improve performance and resolve recurring issues.
  • Help maintain supplier data, reports, and documentation to support decision-making.
