About The Position

Arcticom, LLC provides network and systems administration, enterprise architecture and resource planning, certification and accreditation, software design, programming, maintenance of telecommunications and land mobile radio equipment and systems, help desk support and IT transformation services among other services. This position is located in Anchorage, AK. Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Physical ability to handle warehouse tasks (lifting, moving boxes, etc.).
  • Ability to pass background checks (common for government-related work).
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost savings.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, electric/manual pallet jacks, and hand carts (or willingness to be trained).
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory databases) and familiarity with RF scanners or barcode systems.
  • Careful handling of delicate electronics, antennas, and communications gear.
  • Reliability and safety focus in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and move boxes and inventory items (up to 50 lbs).
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, and bend during work.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods along with periodic standing and walking short distances.
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including keyboards and computers.
  • Close visual acuity and ability to hear in a typical office environment.

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
  • Obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required (if applicable to the contract).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with technical products (telecommunications, RF equipment, electronics, or security systems).
  • Forklift certification (can be provided).
  • Valid driver’s license preferred (for roles involving vehicle use).

Responsibilities

  • Source, quote, and purchase products from vendors and manufacturers (RF systems, two-way radios, security equipment, parts, and accessories).
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
  • Create and manage purchase orders; track and expedite deliveries.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of radios, antennas, networking equipment, IT hardware, cabling, tools, and government-procured materials — check against purchase orders, packing slips, and specifications for damage, quantity, and quality.
  • Load and unload trucks, vans, and deliveries using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or manual lifting as needed.
  • Put away and organize inventory, ensuring proper storage for sensitive electronics and easy retrieval.
  • Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations; track serial numbers (critical for government/comms equipment) and report discrepancies or shortages.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the company system (ERP/CRM/warehouse software).
  • Process internal sales orders and prepare/pick/kit/stage items for customer pickup, shipment, service calls, installations, or deployments (e.g., Land Mobile Radio / ALMR kits).
  • Pack, label, and prepare outgoing shipments for field teams, customers, or military locations; create shipping documentation.
  • Handle returns, warranty processing, and repairs with vendors; assist with returns coordination.
  • Support logistics by coordinating or assisting with transport of equipment to job sites or technicians.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; follow 5S principles and handle hazardous materials (e.g., batteries, electronics) per regulations.
  • Generate inventory reports and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve processes.
  • Document all transactions accurately to support compliance with government contracting requirements.
  • Assist with general shop tasks such as equipment preparation or rental radio inventory support as needed.
