About The Position

The Global Procurement Analyst will work with other Procurement team members to enhance the effectiveness and capabilities of the Global Procurement Department. The role will be accountable for Procurement data-centric opportunity and performance tracking and provide data and insights to inform decision-making. The position will frequently interface with individuals from multiple functions, with particularly strong ties to Finance. As this role will work on several different initiatives simultaneously, this individual will need to demonstrate strong personal organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. The preferred candidate should have strong analytical, communication, and personal organizational skills to support the Global Procurement group. The position will be a centralized resource responsible for supporting general Procurement operations across various sites and regions, with emphasis on cost and spend productivity analytics, supplier performance reporting and metrics, risk elements, and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related area of Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or Business Management preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, consulting, operations, supply chain or finance
  • Experience supporting direct materials procurement, manufacturing, life sciences, diagnostics, medical devices, biopharma, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience or demonstrated foundational understanding of tariffs, duties, trade regulations and global supply chain risks
  • Strong verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and opportunities from complex datasets
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Highly competent in planning effectively, managing deadlines, and balancing multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously
  • Solid experience with various productivity and business intelligence tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Lists, Smartsheet, PowerBI, Tableau, and Qlik
  • RFx experience with SAP Ariba, Coupa or any other procurement tool
  • Experience with ERP Systems such as SAP ECC6, S4 HANA, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Spend Visibility, Analytics, and Reporting: Master use of Spend Visibility tools such as Sievo, PowerBI, and Celonis. Monitor KPIs and produce monthly packages for Procurement LT and other cross-functional forums. Collaborate with Finance to validate and report monthly PPV, Value Capture, and other procurement metrics across assigned divisions and plants. Support annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles. Collaborate with broader procurement team to develop, maintain, or enhance procurement dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Material Cost, Delivery, and Risk Management: Support the effective maintenance of accurate material cost, lead times, and other relevant procurement elements (MOQ, EAU, LTB, etc…). Conduct periodic Bill of Material (BOM) cost analysis for instruments and consumables raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods. Maintain cost models and provide scenario analysis to support negotiations and sourcing decisions. Develop and support should-cost models and cost breakdown analysis for critical components and assemblies. Support Cost Reduction, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), and Design-to-Value (DtV) projects.
  • Tariff, Duties, and Trade Cost Management: Monitor global tariffs, import/export duties, trade regulations, and geopolitical developments impacting procurement costs. Partner with Global Trade, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure accuracy in budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting. Track implementation and effectiveness of tariff mitigation initiatives, including supplier relocation, dual sourcing, country-of-origin optimization, and duty drawbacks. Prepare executive summaries regarding trade risks and exposures.
  • Supplier data and performance Management: Identify data sources, ensure accuracy, and analyze supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and risk. Support supplier scorecard development and quarterly business reviews. Identify trends and opportunities to improve supplier performance and operational efficiency.
  • Market Intelligence: Track material cost trends and quantify impact on product margin and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Conduct market research and supply market assessments for key commodities, materials, and services. Monitor economic indicators, commodity indices, capacity constraints, inflation trends, and supplier market developments.
  • RFx Process Support: Collaborate with Procurement team members to streamline and assist in various RFx events. Provide updates (via trackers, emails, etc.) to key stakeholders through RFx events. Create documentation, pricing comparison, and other files as needed for internal stakeholder and/or site review.
  • Process Improvement & Digital Procurement: Identify opportunities to automate procurement processes, data, reporting, and analytics. Source pipeline of ideas and initiatives for Procurement leverage of AI capabilities and solutions. Assist in development and roll out of relevant Procurement training. Support Procurement tools and templates and intellectual capital, with an interest in advancing the team’s resources and knowledge base. Execute other procurement-related special projects as needed.
