About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level or Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Seal Beach, California. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.) Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Position may require travel up to 15% of the time. Requirements

Experience in supplier management or supply chain management
Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience applying proper writing mechanics, grammar, and punctuation to reports, essays, or other detailed writings
U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Entry Level 1: Related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Associate Level 2: More than 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience presenting to multiple levels of an organization
Entry Level 1: Typically related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Associate Level 2: Typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Obtains proposals, evaluates sources, monitors and reports supplier performance
Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements to comply with company procedures and federal acquisition requirements
Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities
