About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Procurement Agent (Level 3) to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, MO! The Experienced Procurement Agent will source and purchases aerospace parts. Compiles and analyzes data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Review proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of total related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
  • Provide guidance and support to employees by partnering with managers to foster development, address challenges, and promote a collaborative work environment without direct managerial responsibility
  • Experience in leadership, mentorship, or providing supervisory support in a collaborative, non-managerial role
  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
  • 6+ total years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.
  • 3+ years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
  • 3+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • 3+ years of experience with cost proposal preparation on government contracts.
  • Experience working in a distribution business environment
  • Experience in commodity / product knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
