About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona. This position is hybrid, requiring some work onsite. It is a 1st shift position and must meet export control compliance requirements, necessitating a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15.

Requirements

More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.
Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or higher.
More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
More than 5 years of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
More than 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts.
More than 5 years of experience leading proposals, contract terms and conditions development, and negotiation efforts.
More than 5 years of experience with proposal management or contract exposure with the US Department of Defense.
More than 5 years of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.
More than 5 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements.
More than 5 years of experience working on government proposals, to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals.
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience.
Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
