About The Position

The Procurement Agent will be responsible for issuing RFQs/RFPs for assigned categories, evaluating supplier quotations, and ensuring accuracy in pricing, delivery terms, and specifications. This role involves expediting orders to meet operational timelines, maintaining and developing supplier relationships, and monitoring supplier performance regarding cost, quality, and on-time delivery. The agent will also resolve invoice discrepancies and delivery issues, support cost reduction initiatives through competitive bidding and negotiation, and conduct price benchmarking and total cost analysis. Additionally, the role requires partnering with operations teams to understand material/service requirements, analyzing spend data to identify trends and sourcing opportunities, and tracking market trends, supply risks, and cost drivers to support informed purchasing decisions. Support for inventory management efforts to prevent shortages or excess stock is also a key function. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • FQ/RFP development and evaluation.
  • Purchase-to-pay process management.
  • Negotiation fundamentals.
  • Spend analysis and cost modeling.
  • Expert/Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and comprehension).
  • Highly motivated and energetic with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and continually changing environment.
  • Ability to operate independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative and adaptability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar P2P platforms).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or 3PL environment preferred.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
