This position analyzes requisitions and contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, directives, policies, and statutes. The role involves reviewing and editing vendor contracts, negotiating terms with vendors, and consolidating requisitions to achieve economies of scale and maximize competition. The Procurement Agent III also assists with purchases exceeding University bid limits, determines appropriate acquisition methods, and facilitates the development of specifications for public solicitations (ITB, RFP, ITN). Responsibilities include soliciting and evaluating vendor responses, engaging stakeholders, facilitating negotiations, and managing contract implementation. The role also involves providing high-level customer service to UF departments, answering inquiries, resolving vendor disputes, and contributing to the development of training materials and internal processes. Continuous improvement is expected through maintaining expertise in assigned commodity/service areas, staying updated on market trends, and networking with industry professionals.
