About The Position

This recruitment will be used to fill four (4) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Proctor for the Disability Access Services at Oregon State University (OSU). Testing Proctors at Disability Access Services (DAS) administer exams to DAS students in a professional manner. A proctor monitors the testing center environment to ensure academic integrity and facilitate exam instructions by the course instructor.

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
  • Have availability to proctor during finals week.
  • Must maintain 2.5 GPA and have no prior academic violations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate high level of compliance to DAS Testing Center policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cheerful and welcoming environment.
  • Facilitate administration of exam per faculty instructions.
  • Validate student ID prior to each exam.
  • Implement assistive technology as needed.
  • Willingness to assist students as a 1:1 scribe or reader as needed.
  • Monitor the testing center environment, identifying potential academic integrity issues.
  • Perform sanitizing of testing spaces, high touch areas, locker keys and pens.
  • Facilitate delivery of completed exams on campus, as needed.
  • Maintain up to date availability and demonstrate ability to be on time and ready for each scheduled shift.
