About The Position

The Processor is responsible for supplying product to be priced and ticketed, pricing and coordinating the processing of wares, and ensuring adequate production by pricing and ticketing wares. This role also involves sorting footwear into various categories, maintaining the flow of goods, and testing and supplying processed electrical/mechanical items for sale. Additionally, the Processor will assist the truck driver in loading and unloading materials from the Goodwill truck. The core function is to supply product for production, price and ticket product, separate, package, and inventory wares, and supply processed shoes to meet production quotas and deadlines. This includes quality and material control, general housekeeping, and safety, all performed within acceptable quality standards. The role may also involve other related duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to push or pull.
  • Must be able to occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, throw, turn and twist body.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have good work habits, such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.
  • Must respond appropriately to supervision.
  • Must possess adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supply product to be priced and ticketed.
  • Price and coordinate processing of wares.
  • Price and ticket wares to maintain adequate production.
  • Sort footwear into various categories.
  • Maintain flow of goods.
  • Test and supply processed electrical/mechanical items for sale.
  • Assist truck driver in loading and unloading materials from the Goodwill truck.
  • Separate toys, wares, glass, and seasonal items.
  • Recognize use, style, value, saleable, salvage, trash and seasonal items.
  • Clean, if and when necessary.
  • Bag or box salvage.
  • Mark everything that will leave the building CLEARLY.
  • Price and ticket all products.
  • Wrap necessary items.
  • Test electrical/mechanical items.
  • Price or discard.
  • Direct obvious trash from box or pile.
  • Box items to be shipped.
  • Do seasonal items as they come in and box for storage.
  • Help truck driver and co-workers loading and unloading Goodwill Truck.
  • Transports clothing, wares, etc. To sales floor.
