About The Position

The Processor is responsible for supplying product to be priced and ticketed, processing wares, and sorting footwear into various categories to maintain the flow of goods. This role also involves testing and supplying processed electrical/mechanical items for sale and assisting the truck driver with loading and unloading materials. The primary function is to ensure product is processed efficiently to meet production quotas and deadlines, while also maintaining general housekeeping and safety standards.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to push or pull.
• Must be able to occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, throw, turn and twist body.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Good work habits, including acceptable attitude and punctuality.
• Must respond appropriately to supervision.
• Must possess adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards.

Responsibilities

• Supply product for production.
• Price and ticket product, separate, package, and inventory wares.
• Supply processed shoes to assure production quotas and deadlines are met.
• Perform quality and material control.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety.
• Keep sets and prices together.
• Separate toys, wares, glass, and seasonal items.
• Recognize use, style, value, saleable, salvage, trash, and seasonal items.
• Clean items when necessary.
• Bag or box salvage.
• Mark everything that will leave the building clearly.
• Price and ticket all products.
• Wrap necessary items.
• Test electrical/mechanical items.
• Price or discard electrical/mechanical items.
• Direct obvious trash from box or pile.
• Box items to be shipped.
• Process seasonal items as they come in and box for storage.
• Help truck driver and co-workers loading and unloading Goodwill Truck.
• Transport clothing, wares, etc. to sales floor.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.
