About The Position

Join Streck’s Operations team as a Processing Supervisor, where you’ll lead a skilled team responsible for the initial processing of incoming cellular components in a regulated biomedical environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, or an Associate’s degree with relevant hands-on experience.
  • Experience in an FDA/ISO-regulated environment
  • Dependable, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate lab equipment including centrifuges, bench scales, and peristaltic pumps.
  • Comfortable with occasional physical demands: lifting up to 40 lbs, extended standing, and working in laboratory attire.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of RBC cellular components, ensuring all work follows Standard Operating Procedures and Quality System Requirements.
  • Maintain hands-on competency across all processing steps; step in to support or cover Technicians when needed.
  • Enforce strict aseptic technique and clean room standards to meet sterility requirements.
  • Plan and schedule all departmental functions — including production schedules, staff time off, overtime, and team meetings.
  • Manage raw material and supply inventories to keep production running on schedule; initiate purchase requests as needed.
  • Ensure all process documentation is accurate, legible, and completed on time.
  • Review and revise departmental SOPs and work instructions for alignment with FDA and ISO Quality Systems.
  • Partner with other production departments to solve cross-functional challenges and meet production targets.
  • Lead recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for the department; conduct regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews.
  • Champion continuous improvement by surfacing ideas for cost reduction, equipment upgrades, and efficiency gains.
