About The Position

BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with a strong financial capacity aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining-friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Requirements

  • May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
  • Operate and monitor equipment in the Run-of-Mine (ROM) and crushing circuits, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and feeders, to ensure efficient and continuous operation.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks and inspections of equipment to identify and address any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
  • Monitor process parameters, including feed rates, crusher settings, and product size, and adjust as needed to optimize circuit performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs and adjustments as required to minimize downtime.
  • Operate light support equipment and perform daily clean up activities.
  • Coordinate with field operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues and adherence to production targets.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and processes.
  • Perform energy isolation system lock outs.
  • Provide ground support and communicate with the control room operator.
  • Work at heights and perform confined space hole watching.
  • Inspect and change screen panels during outages.
  • Inspect and operate dust control systems to control plant emissions.
  • Complete daily work area inspection reports.
