About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will take on a leadership role in maintaining and repairing facility and production equipment, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime. You will independently troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform and document advanced preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, and oversee the procurement of necessary parts and supplies, including vendor coordination and cost management. Additionally, you will support and train Maintenance Technicians I and II, helping to improve overall team performance and technical capabilities. This role requires exceptional reliability, professionalism, and flexibility to meet shift requirements, special projects, and emergency maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification, associate’s degree, or higher in a related field is preferred).
  • At least 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing Moba egg grading and packaging machines or similar automated systems.
  • Ability to work with a variety of equipment, including advanced systems, and utilize appropriate tools and techniques to resolve issues.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Experience with inventory management, including ordering parts, tracking orders, and vendor communication.
  • Able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and respond to emergency maintenance needs.
  • Capable of handling hazardous materials per safety protocols.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs independently, heavier loads with assistance.
  • Perform repetitive motions, including reaching, grasping, twisting, and fine motor tasks.
  • Use both hands for tool handling, maintenance, and equipment operation.
  • Work in varied conditions (heat, cold, humidity, dust, odors, and loud noise).
  • Visually inspect equipment, read manuals, and distinguish colors for wiring.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and respiratory protection.
  • Maintain focus and awareness in a fast-paced industrial setting while following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of Maintenance Technician I & II, including equipment setup, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Master the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of Moba egg grading and packaging machines, ensuring peak performance and minimal downtime.
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair nearly all facilities and production equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Provide independent maintenance coverage during normal production operations.
  • Perform and document advanced-level preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Identify and procure necessary parts and supplies, including researching pricing, contacting vendors, and tracking orders to ensure timely availability while minimizing shipping costs.
  • Assist in the management and organization of maintenance inventory to ensure critical spare parts are available when needed.
  • Support and train Maintenance Technicians I & II, improving skill levels and ensuring adherence to maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead by example with strong attention to detail, professionalism, and adherence to company policies.
  • Maintain excellent reliability by consistently arriving early for shifts and proactively communicating scheduling issues.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime, special projects, and emergency repairs as needed.
