The Processing Machine Operator will be responsible to prepare and process our post-harvest product through the proper channels. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. A production operator must adhere to safety guidelines and ensure that final products meet high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Processing Machine Operator or a similar position
  • Experience in a warehouse or industrial manufacturing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.).
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ACMPR experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe work conditions and practices within the greenhouse and support building by supporting adherence to company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP) and GMP.
  • Maintaining the integrity of all assets and operating equipment to ensure on-going safe, reliable operations.
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
  • Communicate any issues with management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
