About The Position

This role is responsible for general plant and parking area clean-up and upkeep, including landscaping and winter works such as snow removal and salting walkways. The Labourer will assist with various department general tasks, perform inspections, and notify management of any deficiencies or repair needs. Key duties include thorough cleansing of equipment, making minor adjustments and repairs to small equipment, assisting with inventory counts, and working cohesively with staff across all departments. The position requires adherence to all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

• Punctual, Reliable, and Dependable
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Ability to carry out physical duties in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
• Basic knowledge of: Plumbing, Electricity, Carpentry, Masonry, Drywall, Painting, and others
• Experience using hand tools for general purposes.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Work well independently or within a team setting
• Must be willing to work shifts, and be available for overtime & weekends as required
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift, Skid Steer, and Elevated work platform experience is an asset, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist with various department general tasks as needed
• Perform various inspections, record findings, and provide updates as directed
• Notify management of any deficiencies or needs for repairs if found
• Carry out thorough cleansing tasks on equipment throughout the plant
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to various small equipment as needed
• Assist with Inventory counts and monitoring, report findings to supervisors
• Work cohesively with staff in all departments
• Follow all health & safety procedures as well as work within the policies set forth
• Housekeeping
