About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Processing Associate to join their team. This role involves handling incoming merchandise, preparing it for the sales floor, and assisting merchandising teams. The ideal candidate will be efficient, accurate, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to navigate a computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner
  • Professional in appearance and attitude
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team atmosphere by treating others with respect and consideration
  • Ability to take pride in being part of a winning team
  • Ability to maintain an orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, leading to a safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming merchandise with efficiency to ensure correct counts
  • Tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock
  • Assist the Merchandising Teams in distributing items to correct the Specialty Shop
  • Organize clothing hangers and size labels
  • Break down cardboard boxes and dispose of them in the trash compactor
  • Operate a pallet jack to move shipments between platforms, storage, and work areas
  • Perform work efficiently and effectively with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate a computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere by treating others with respect and consideration, while taking pride in being part of a winning team
  • Maintain an orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, leading to a safe work environment
