About The Position

The Process Utility Person-Shipping role is part of the Cement & White Line of Business. This position involves a variety of functions related to plant equipment, including housekeeping, inspections, lubrication, troubleshooting, minor repairs, and operation of mobile equipment. The role requires knowledge of environmental and safety rules and the functionality of all plant equipment. Requirements

  • Proficiency in housekeeping, equipment and process field inspections (PM duties), lubrication, troubleshooting, minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Ability to use various tools.
  • Experience operating mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety rules.
  • Understanding of the functionality of all Plant equipment.
  • Ability to perform material handling activities using overhead cranes, front-end loaders and other mobile equipment.
  • Ability to locate, monitor and perform field inspections on all Plant equipment.
  • Ability to make minor mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to initiate necessary actions on plant equipment as required by supervisor.
  • Ability to assist maintenance department personnel.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspection and check lubrication systems.
  • Ability to perform work on preheater tower, such as operate cardox, blasters, air/water lances, clean ducts and vessels, inspect/troubleshoot equipment.
  • Ability to assist in laboratory product sampling and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform material handling activities using overhead cranes, front-end loaders, and other mobile equipment.
  • Locate, monitor, and perform field inspections on all plant equipment.
  • Make minor mechanical repairs.
  • Initiate necessary actions on plant equipment as required by a supervisor (e.g., report on, operate, repair, clean, feed, adjust).
  • Assist maintenance department personnel as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and check lubrication systems.
  • Perform work on the preheater tower, including operating cardox, blasters, and air/water lances, cleaning ducts and vessels, and inspecting/troubleshooting equipment.
  • Assist in laboratory product sampling and procedures.
