We are actively seeking a Process Utilities Engineer Intern to join CRB. Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, BioProcess Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights
  • Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients and contractors)
  • Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred
  • Familiarity with Engineering Software Application including computer aided drafting, process modeling and calculations programs
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in Mechanical Engineering, Process Utilities Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables.
  • Focus on the design and engineering of critical utility equipment and distribution (or collection) systems along with the supporting facility infrastructure required to support manufacturing operations.
  • Execution of engineering calculations including heat transfer and hydraulic pressure drop calculations.
  • Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
