About The Position

The Process Technician works with the manufacturing team on the factory floor. You will monitor and adjust processes, test batch quality working with our Quality Department, perform daily basic machine Preventative Maintenance activities, maintain equipment logbooks, assist engineering with SOP/WMI document creation and modifications, ensure the area is clean, report any machine faults to your supervisor, and submit maintenance job tickets. The Process Technician must be able to identify repeat faults and suggest manufacturing improvements to increase production throughput.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years' experience as a process technician in a high-speed throughput industry.
  • Excellent analytical and observational skills
  • Sound knowledge of industrial machines and mechanical processes
  • Advanced report-writing skills. Utilizing Power BI or related tools for data analysis scorecards.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Experience in plastic molding and / or extrusion a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Full understanding of the processing equipment functionality from hands-on personal experiences and Tekmodo training.
  • Identifying and monitoring production machine parameters.
  • Monitoring and testing product/batch quality.
  • Ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Identifying machine faults and production rate errors.
  • Maintaining production logbooks.
  • Reporting faults and breakdowns to the Plant Manager, Supervisors, and production engineers.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe production area.
  • Assist Team Members to adhere to TekModo safety protocols.
  • Follow all procedures regarding equipment adjustment, maintenance, and tooling changeovers.
  • Identifying areas of production that can be improved.
  • Suggest modifications to Operator Instructions and Process Flows.
  • Generate/Update electronic work instructions and documentation.
  • FANUC robot touch-ups / homing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
