About The Position

The Process & Automation Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing mechanical and automated equipment while supporting production processes and continuous improvement initiatives. This role combines hands-on machine building and system integration with process monitoring, ERP configuration support, and operational efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure high-performing and scalable manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–5 years of experience in machine building, automation assembly, or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment and supporting production processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production software.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and enter basic production or ERP data.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and manual dexterity.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP/MES experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform routine inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate production records including output, downtime, maintenance activity, and quality data.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining ERP system parameters such as Bills of Materials (BOMs) and job routings.
  • Collect and analyze production data to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to implement process improvements.
  • Participate in audits, root cause investigations, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Support training efforts for new operators and process updates.
  • Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
