Process Technician – Plastics Manufacturing
About The Position
This is a hands-on role for experienced Process Technicians in a stable, family-owned manufacturer with over 50 years of success. Technicians are trusted, problems are addressed, and good work is recognized. The role values accountability, consistency, and skill-building. The Process Technician plays a direct role in keeping production running efficiently, safely, and to specification. Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Solid manufacturing experience (injection molding strongly preferred)
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Ability to follow GMP, safety, and standard work procedures
- Clear communication skills and dependable work habits
- Willingness to learn, improve processes, and take ownership
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with GMP, ISO, Lean, or 5S environments in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, rulers)
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, data entry)
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
Nice To Haves
- Injection molding or blow molding experience
- Familiarity with IQMS or similar manufacturing systems
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support injection molding and blow molding machines
- Perform mold changes, startups, and process adjustments
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and auxiliary systems
- Complete preventative maintenance and basic equipment upkeep
- Work closely with Quality to resolve issues and verify specifications
- Use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales)
- Complete setup, production, and maintenance documentation accurately
- Maintain clean, safe, and audit-ready work areas
- Support and mentor less-experienced team members
