About The Position

The Process Technician will develop and recommend procedures and methods, and prepare technical reports and documentation. This role involves performing technical evaluations of events to determine root cause and recommending corrective action. The technician will actively interface with cross-functional team members, practicing good teamwork to support day-to-day operating requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing manufacturing loss on assigned lines, diagnosing malfunctioning systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and escalating issues as required. The technician will communicate regularly with Operators regarding issues, concerns, and watch-outs on the lines, and take responsibility for product line performance, primarily maximizing equipment productivity and minimizing yield loss from the process. This role also involves identifying and assisting engineers with the implementation of technical and process improvements, maintaining compliance with all site and corporate Quality Management System requirements, and supporting the business as deemed by management or as mandated by shutdowns and/or equipment/process failures.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years' experience in process improvement, lean, or technical problem solving preferred
  • Technical Associate Degree or equivalent
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures, and systems
