About The Position

The Process Technician is a key member of the team at the Montgomery, Illinois facility, supporting multiple CNC machines that process plastic furniture components. This role calls for a self-starter who looks for opportunities to improve the functionality of the manufacturing process.

The Process Technician provides direct floor support for CNC programming, machine setup, and production modifications. The role also includes checking product quality, optimizing machine settings, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, and training new employees.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Previous experience working as a CNC technician.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with and skill in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Some experience with CAM software.
• Basic understanding of G and M codes.
• Skill in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems.
• Ability to work independently and closely follow directions.
• Positive and professional attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Master CAM experience is a plus.
• An associate degree in CNC programming, a computer-related field, or a mechanical field is desired.
• Five or more years of CNC technical or operations experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings and set up machines in accordance with CAM setup documents.
• Provide floor support for CNC programming, including setup and modifications of production machines.
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications.
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems as they arise.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and sharpening.
• Train new employees to properly operate CNC machines and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
