About The Position

The Process Technician will participate in the installation and launching of new process equipment, analyze and evaluate production processes for optimization, and develop new mechanisms and systems. This role involves analyzing and optimizing maintenance schedules, developing ergonomic workstations, and submitting proposals for equipment start-up and operation. The technician will also compile reports, maintain records, gather data for Process Engineers, and set up and fine-tune recipes. Collaboration with Quality Technicians and the Continuous Improvement team is essential for root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years minimum working experience in related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Nokian Tyres will not provide visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in technical field preferred, equivalent experience substitute
  • Experience with Lean Principles preferred
  • Experience with Oracle preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the installation and launching of new process equipment in cooperation with equipment suppliers and colleagues from Finland
  • Analyze and evaluate production processes for their optimization, utilizing best practices wherever possible
  • Analyze the existing mechanisms, systems and methods, and develop new ones
  • Analyze and optimize the schedules of planned and corrective maintenance of equipment
  • Analyze and develop ergonomic production workstations
  • Submit proposals on the optimization of equipment start-up and operation schedules
  • Compile necessary reports for the immediate supervisor
  • Maintain all necessary records in the working documentation / enter data in computer-aided production control systems in accordance with the Company’s internal procedures
  • Gather data for projects for Process Engineers and participate in improvement projects and programs
  • Set up and fine tune recipes on all components lines
  • Work with Quality Technicians to find root causes of issues and implement changes to process via change management process
  • Work with the Continuous Improvement team to develop permanent fixes to systemic problems
  • All other duties as required
