About The Position

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking Process Technicians to join their team at their Chocolate Bayou location in Alvin, TX. The Process Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the facilities. This role involves operating equipment in production systems, monitoring equipment, and obtaining routine samples of products. Additionally, the Process Technician will carry out cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair work in the processing units. A strong emphasis is placed on SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) Stewardship, requiring adherence to all INEOS safety policies and procedures, promoting safety concepts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of two (2) years' previous directly related experience as an operator in a chemical plant, refinery, or gas processing facility, AND/OR Successful completion of the two (2) year Associates Degree in Process Technology, Operations. (Accepting Summer 2026 Graduates).
All applicants must be able to acquire a TWIC card.
Candidates will be administered a battery of tests to demonstrate adequate skills and knowledge for the job.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment in production systems.
Monitor equipment.
Obtain routine samples of products.
Carry out cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair work in the processing units.
Maintain safety as the highest priority and abide by all INEOS safety policies and procedures.
Understand and promote the INEOS “20 Principles of Safety”.
Assure that personnel are aware of safe working practices and promote the safety concepts of “Coaching for Safety” and “Stop Work.”
Promote safety and safe actions through communication.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulatory requirements and strive to meet internal SHE objectives.
