About The Position

Unpack Your Potential Join Amcor as a Process Technician and play a key role in producing high-quality packaging that makes a global impact. Provide Quality system support to the manufacturing operations to ensure high quality products are shipped to Amcor customers.

Requirements

  • Good computer skills, knowledge of excel.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods
  • Perform climbing, crouching, and reaching

Nice To Haves

  • A basic understanding of common Quality Systems and Problem Solving tools.
  • A basic knowledge of external customer requirements and expectations and an ability to respond professionally when in contact with those customers.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of plant personnel from Operations Management to Production Operators and Assistants.
  • An understanding of Product Safety concerns and GMP’s related to the program.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document in-process quality testing as detailed in the technical specifications, test methods and work instructions.
  • Create hold ticket (MRB forms) for non-conforming materials. Also includes locating and labeling hold ticket materials.
  • Develop, coordinate and prepare sampling to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Maintain the files of quality test data and other quality related paperwork.
  • Comply with all department procedures, policies and safety items.
  • Checks inventory on supplies and notify supervisor to order supplies.
  • Perform test equipment calibrations as defined in department work instructions.
  • Maintain retain sample storage areas and related documentation.
  • Manage time wisely and be self-motivated.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
  • Serve as a resource for special customer product testing and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify the source of quality defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Support flexible shift operations to meet production plan.
