As a Process Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing wafers for experimentation, operating reactors to perform thin film processes, and using scanning electron microscopes for analyses and imaging. You'll record process conditions and experimental observations, perform routine maintenance procedures, and evaluate wafers and thin films. Process Technicians are tasked with preparing cross-section samples for analysis, identifying patterns of interest in imaging, and operating laboratory process equipment and instrumentation. Your expertise in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process optimization drives higher levels of productivity, quality, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Technical Diploma
  • 4-7 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepare blanket wafers/panels for experimentation, prepare special coupons/wafers/panels per engineer team instruction
  • Read die map, and cut coupons based on die map.
  • Prepare coupon wafer for processing
  • Operate reactors to perform preclean and thin film processes, record process parameters, and experimental observations.
  • Prepare sample after processing, submit samples to internal SEM/TEM metrology lab, or inline metrology
  • Upload metrology results to working file.
  • Prepare graphs and tables summarizing results
  • Follow company demo procedure, prepare customer wafer/coupon, operate tool per demo instruction.
  • Understand basic tool / HW information, recover tool error during process.
  • Report tool issue to HW team.
  • Use quantitative wafer evaluation and process instrumentation knowledge to draw conclusions from data.
  • Assists in training junior technicians.
  • Develop and publish best known method (BKM) procedures, including coupon sample prep, manual metrology measurement, etc
