As a Process Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing wafers for experimentation, operating reactors to perform thin film processes, and using scanning electron microscopes for analyses and imaging. You'll record process conditions and experimental observations, perform routine maintenance procedures, and evaluate wafers and thin films. Process Technicians are tasked with preparing cross-section samples for analysis, identifying patterns of interest in imaging, and operating laboratory process equipment and instrumentation. Your expertise in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process optimization drives higher levels of productivity, quality, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing or R&D environment.
  • Knowledge of wafer fabrication, packaging, or advanced process technologies.
  • Familiarity with microscopes, metrology tools, and test equipment.
  • Ability to read process documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and data recording skills.
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing databases/MES systems.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and handle delicate samples.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare semiconductor coupons, wafers, and test samples according to engineering specifications.
  • Perform cutting, mounting, and cleaning of coupons.
  • Operate fabrication and sample preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure samples meet dimensional and quality requirements before testing.
  • Support engineering experiments, process development, and qualification activities.
  • Execute process flows for coupon builds, including deposition, lithography, etching, plating, or assembly operations as required.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
