About The Position

Reporting to the Plating & Processing Supervisor, the Process Technician - Chrome will be involved in the chrome plating of aircraft components. Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada Shift Hours – Weekend Night Shift - Friday - Sunday (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.). The salary range for this role is 59,548 CAD - 78,643 CAD. Requirements

  • High school diploma, with 1 – 3 years previous process chemistry background
  • Experience in measuring equipment such as calipers and Elco meters
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Experience in using various hand tools.
  • The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Prior chrome plating experience would be considered an asset
  • Verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
  • Strong understanding of WHMIS

Responsibilities

  • Chrome plating of aircraft components, including preparation of components, to customer specifications and development of work techniques
  • Part masking will be part of the regular duties of this position
  • Part fixturing, loading and unloading
  • Tank/chemistry maintenance and associated tooling
  • Act as a cross functional team member and support other plating applications as requested
  • Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S, TPM, process improvement teams)
  • Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
  • Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Can fully achieve the responsibilities of the position within a training time of 3 months.
  • Candidate will be expected to wear appropriate PPE
  • Perform other duties as required
