About The Position

As an Operations Process Technician Apprentice, you will play a supportive role in ensuring the efficient operation of extrusion lines, contributing to the production of high-quality plastic sheets and rolls.

Requirements

1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
Willingness to learn extrusion operations and engage actively in training sessions.
Must have a Mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for hands-on work.
Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) and ability to learn measurement tools.
No coaching memos in the previous 12 months.
Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation.
Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

Receive training and assist in the startup, shutdown, and changeovers of all 3 extrusion lines, under the mentorship of experienced operators and shift supervisors.
Contribute to ensuring that extrusion lines are running at optimal efficiency, with a focus on learning and applying troubleshooting skills.
Assist in monitoring the production process to ensure that the output meets or exceeds the set standards ensuring compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
Learn and adhere to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensures compliance with all current company policies.
Develop effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to function efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Engage in learning opportunities to suggest improvements for manufacturing processes.
Willingness and flexibility to work on various shifts to receive comprehensive training and support production needs.
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
