About The Position

The Process Sustaining Engineer will provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area within Crystal Growth. This role involves maintaining calibration records, owning standard operating procedures, and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiencies and yields for existing products. The engineer will also conduct statistical analysis, collaborate with design teams, participate in audits, and support downstream departments to resolve production interruptions. Additionally, this position will offer guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality management systems
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software

• Experience with SQL preferred

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area in Crystal Growth.
• Maintaining record of calibration and verification of measurement devices used in manufacturing documents.
• Owning standard operating procedures and associated trainings for manufacturing processes.
• Recommending and implementing equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
• Developing and conducting statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
• Interacting with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
• Participating in internal and external IATF audits and ensuring all control documentations (PFD, PFMEA, and PCP) are up to date.
• Collaborating with downstream departments, facilities, logistics and software teams to resolve interruptions to production.
• Providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
