About The Position

The Process Supervisor directs all activities of the cane sugar refining process, including receipt of liquid materials. The role ensures quality standards are met through efficient use of energy (fuel and steam), water, air, and electric power. The supervisor oversees 20 to 30 union hourly employees and is based in Chalmette, Louisiana.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in a chemical processing, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing plant as a process/production supervisor or in related experience is desired.
• High school diploma.
• Quantifiable leadership skills.
• Ability to train others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience supervising union personnel.
• Experience with and demonstrated success in leading operational excellence or continuous improvement efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, science, or business-related field.
• Concentration in chemical engineering, physics, or a related science field.
• Proficiency with SAP.
