Shift/Hours/Location: M-F, 8am-5pm, Onsite, Moses Lake, WA WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON Support facilitation and documentation of PHAs for existing and new processes. Help track and follow up on PHA recommendations and implementation plans. Assist in maintaining and updating PSI documentation across departments. Ensure accessibility and accuracy of PSI for relevant personnel. Participate in the MOC process to evaluate safety impacts of operational changes. Attend Control Change Review Board (CCRB) meetings and contribute to risk assessments. Collaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance. Contribute to Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for Assist in emergency response planning and coordination. Support incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) effort. Help prepare technical reports, safety documentation, and compliance records. Communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders new installations and modification. Receive training in OSHA 1910.119 / WAC 296-67 regulations and participate in other training as assigned by management. Apply regulatory knowledge to support compliance and continuous improvement. Uphold all MLI policies and “MLI Code of Conduct.” Strict compliance with Environmental and Safety regulations. Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration is required. It is the employee’s commitment to ensure that the Company’s actual practices and procedures are exercised as directed. Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high performing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • A passion for process safety, chemical engineering, and continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with a variety of teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of coursework in OSHA 1910.119 / WAC 296-67 PSM regulations.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools/software is a plus.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a chemical or manufacturing setting.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemical processes or safety systems.
  • Familiarity with PHA, MOC, or RCA methodologies.
