This role is generally responsible for performing all aspects of complete designs for process engineering assignments under general supervision. Key responsibilities include promoting a safety-first culture, establishing design criteria, incorporating client requirements, and ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal standards and codes. The engineer will manage project scope, advise on design changes, delegate work to engineers and designers, and consult with other disciplines to ensure inter-disciplinary alignment. The position involves producing preliminary designs, conceptual layouts, cost studies, and detailed design calculations and drawings, with an emphasis on ease of construction, operability, and maintenance. The completed design must meet client specifications and expectations. Responsibilities also include checking the work of other engineers, producing equipment and construction specifications, performing fieldwork, developing bid packages, participating in professional society meetings, engaging in sales activities, and traveling as required. A significant aspect of the role involves actively mentoring less experienced process engineers and developing work-sharing packages for interoffice execution support.
