About The Position

Tandem PV is seeking a hands-on, analytically minded Process & Quality Engineering Technician to support its pilot manufacturing line, process monitoring systems, and quality control activities. The role combines equipment instrumentation, data analysis, technical troubleshooting, and quality inspection. Approximately 50–75% of the work involves direct activity on the pilot line, including installing and maintaining sensors, monitoring process performance, and helping identify and resolve equipment or process issues. The position is suited to someone comfortable working with hardware and software, independently investigating problems, and developing potential solutions while building experience with manufacturing systems, data analysis, and AI-enabled troubleshooting tools. The technician will support instrumentation and monitoring, assess process data and troubleshoot technical issues, assist with technical software and systems, perform incoming material inspection and other quality control activities, and contribute to metrology and continuous improvement as Tandem PV expands its capabilities. The position is primarily on-site at Tandem PV's Fremont research and manufacturing facility, with regular work on the pilot manufacturing line and in engineering or laboratory environments. The company develops mechanically stacked perovskite-silicon tandem solar panels and is scaling its technology toward commercial manufacturing.
